Our aim is to develop and promote various sports and recreational activities taking advantage of the natural resources available in the region. We wish to create and develop infrastructure and support for these activities. Training and employment of local manpower with an aim to project our region as a tourist destination, an activity centre for corporate outbound training as well as provide infrastructure and activities for organising summer and winter camps for children.
Existing sports club, outbound training facilitators, active sports persons, beach side property owners are interested parties whose involvement will help this projects take off smoothly.
Potential in Vasai Virar region
Vasai Virar belt is blessed with a huge coastline in the west, a mountain range closer to the highway in the east, couple of dams and big lakes. The weather is very conducive for aviation adventure sports. An existing over two decade old aero modelling and aviation adventure sports clubs is a testimony to this fact. Local farming community is contributing to the green zone with cultivation of flower gardens, coconut plantations, vegetable gardens etc which can be used for interactive sessions with tourist and corporate houses. Vasai also has many historic places of tourist interest such as Vasai fort, the island fort in Arnala and religious places. Tungareshwar forest area and Pehlar dam have huge potential for excursion, educational and recreational treks.
The region is well connected by road and railway hence easily accessible to the local tourist from Mumbai city as well as those coming from other states and countries.
